Spring At Pye, Cotswolds
We couldn’t wait to return to our Cotswolds home for the spring version of our biannual UK weekend retreat away. Winter At Pye was all fire place chills & leaf-crunching strolls; but this spring we took the opportunity to take our practice under the summer sun.
We were blessed with the most beautiful weather all weekend which meant for laidback poolside chills and barefoot garden strolls, the perfect introduction to lighter, brighter & sunnier days ahead. Of course, thoughtfully curated morning & evening yoga practices opened and closed each day. A place where we grounded, tried something new & set intentions for the upcoming season ahead. Jesse’s heart-warming and seasonally curated meals were served aplenty including wholesome buffet breakfasts, peach ice teas, an outdoor lunch on the lawn and hearty evening dinners.
Hopefully the first of many as summer starts to arrive…
Our Accommodation
Our beautiful retreat home for the weekend offers the option of twin shared bedrooms, king rooms or private master suites. The rooms share several bathrooms between them other than the master rooms which have a private en-suite for added privacy. In spring and summer the outdoor heated pool is all yours to enjoy with your feet up and a good book in hand, whilst the surrounding grounds have several little spots to discover on a mid-afternoon saunter including a fire pit and seated area by the stream at the bottom of the garden.
The Yoga Practices
South East London Yoga Teacher, Zoë Markos-Thresher, hosts and facilitates the yoga practices throughout the weekend guiding you through an evening arrival flow, morning dynamic practice and evening yin class which are inspired by over 500 hours of training accumulated in the styles of Vinyasa, Mandala, Rocket, Yin, Pre + Post Natal. We hope you get a little flavour of retreat life over the course of the weekend, intended to be the perfect pause between weeks and an opportunity to reflect and be taken care of. We purposely run the Cotswolds retreats at the turning point of seasons so we can take a moment to consider what that means for us, how our energetics might shift moving forward, where we can slow things down or where we can open up.
Our Seasonal Menu
Head Chef at Mindful Chef, Jesse Kempner, never fails to put a smile on guests faces with her intricate, thoughtfully curated and delicious meals. Together, we’ve travelled to Greece & the Cotswolds filling people’s bellies; we love our kitchen to be seasonal and we always keep our fingers crossed for a BBQ outdoors. Our spreads are often made up of refreshing salads, seasonal sharer platters, fresh juices or iced coffees. This years’ standout was most definitely the British trifle, scroll the pics below to see!
We cater for every dietary and allergy on our retreats, so there’s always something for everyone.
“Another wonderful retreat with the fabulous Zoë and amazing Jesse. As a repeat guest, although a different venue, it was a joy to return. The food is incredible and the setting was beautiful. Zoë’s classes are a perfect mix from the calming evening yin session to the energising mandala morning class. There are options for all levels and I would recommend the retreat to both new and experienced yogi’s. Already looking forward to the next one.”

Book Swaps, Reflexology & Countryside Strolls
We love to add some memorable moments to our retreat, and though these change up every time, our favourite additions at Spring At Pye this time round were our book swap and Chrissy, our reflexologist, who came to offer her services as an optional added extra to our guests - everyone jumped at the opportunity.
We shared our favourite books with other retreat guests, with a specially designed bookmark for each with a spring time poem to remember the weekend by. A bunch of us also managed to catch a motorbike rally on our walk up to Broadway Tower, we frequently got a few morning and evening lengths in the pool and picked up some little trinkets for loved ones in the quaint nearby shops of Broadway.
If you want a little slice of this weekend retreat, we’ll be back at Pye Corner real soon for the cosy winter version. Come and join us!
