Winter At Pye, Cotswolds

For a whole weekend we tucked ourselves away in the Cotswolds for a weekend of yoga, slowness and fireside chills. Quintessentially British in style, our Broadway home was the perfect setting for practices, warm, hearty home-cooked meals, mooches around nearby cobbled villages, countryside strolls and kicking our feet up by a live fire. The ultimate recipe for a wholesome winter getaway in the UK.

Our mornings begin all together with dynamic yoga practice, as always, and close with evening yin or slow flow to wind down the day. We love having you all around the dinner table to embrace the colder, slower, quieter winter days ahead.

Our Accommodation

Our beautiful retreat home for the weekend offers the option of twin shared bedrooms, king rooms or private master suites. The rooms share several bathrooms between them other than the master rooms which have a private en-suite for added privacy. During the winter retreat, we make sure the fires are ablaze all weekend long and though it’s a little chilly outside, we love to wrap up and head into the nearby town or go for a local stroll to enjoy the stunning setting around us. Sometimes, if we time it right, there are Christmas markets ready for us to explore as soon as we arrive.

The Yoga Practices

South East London Yoga Teacher, Zoë Markos-Thresher, hosts and facilitates the yoga practices throughout the weekend guiding you through an evening arrival flow, morning dynamic practice and evening yin class which are inspired by over 500 hours of training accumulated in the styles of Vinyasa, Mandala, Rocket, Yin, Pre + Post Natal. We hope you get a little flavour of retreat life over the course of the weekend, intended to be the perfect pause between weeks and an opportunity to reflect and be taken care of. We purposely run the Cotswolds retreats at the turning point of seasons so we can take a moment to consider what that means for us, how our energetics might shift moving forward, where we can slow things down or where we can open up.

Our Seasonal Menu

Head Chef at Mindful Chef, Jesse Kempner, never fails to put a smile on guests faces with her intricate, thoughtfully curated and delicious meals. Together, we’ve travelled to Greece & the Cotswolds filling people’s bellies; we love our kitchen to be seasonal so on our winter menus expect lots of warming stews, crumbles drowning in cream, fancy cheese on toast to dunk, and an endless amount of afternoon cake and tea for that extra bit of comfort. A standout bake at Winter At Pye was definitely the double chocolate afternoon cake with a big dollop of créme fraiche.

We cater for every dietary and allergy on our retreats, so there’s always something for everyone. Flick through the photos below, they might make you a little hungry..

A perfect rest-bite for Autumn in a gorgeous home that was the perfect space for internal rest or the opportunity for meeting new great people. Zoe created a space where she effortlessly balances between facilitator and friend. Such a warm and comforting space, can’t wait for the next one

We love to bring a little surprise treat in every weekend for you, and this time it was our yin into sound bath class that eased us into the evening - the perfect ending to our Saturday and the best way to ease us into an uninterrupted slumber for the night. Flick through the album below to get a feel for the beautiful Cotswolds countryside as winter starts to peak through. Though we might have got a little lost on our walks, we managed to stumble across some beautiful unexpected spots, and some pretty beautiful sheep.

We will be lapping all of this up again this November 18-30th 2025 just in time for the Christmas markets, why not come and join us..
