home.
Whether your practice is a new, familiar or a staple part of daily life, we invite you to dive into your daily practice ritual right here.
With Greek roots, we adore bringing all of our favourite home comforts together in one place for you to experience. Within this culture is where we feel most at home; warm hospitality always feels like the biggest hug to return to, simple but delicious ingredients make up every mouthful, and always with a Greek song & dance we come back to the simplest ways of connection. The one that makes us feel most at home within community & within ourselves, whether that’s around the dinner table over a delicious shared meal, a cleansing dip in the Ionian or hearing the sounds of local bouzouki.

Your Host and Yoga Teacher
Zoë Markos-Thresher
South East London & Athens Yoga Teacher, Zoë Markos-Thresher, will be your host and yoga facilitator throughout the retreat guiding you through twice daily yoga practices which are inspired by over 500 hours of training accumulated in the styles of Vinyasa, Mandala, Rocket, Yin, Pre + Post Natal.
Morning practice will be dedicated to dynamic styles. Here we focus on anatomical and energetic elements which weave a thoughtful, interoceptive and meditative framework to play, practice & contemplate within. You’ll journey through concepts & inspiration from mandala. vinyasa & rocket yoga during these practices, which create a colourful palette of yoga experience throughout the week.
Every evening ends with a slow, soft and mindful yin practice - known for its’ nervous system benefits, aid with sleep and deep fascial tissue work. We also choose the most popular mid-week workshop theme to spend some time diving deeper into; anything from inversion play, arm balancing or breath techniques - it’s completely up to you.
Our hope is that you leave this retreat capsule having felt new connection to yourself through your practice, with a full cup you can take back home with you and hopefully a new friendship or two along the way.
We so hope to meet you on retreat sometime soon,
love Zoë x
The Meals
Using locally sourced, fresh ingredients; our menu is a big part of the retreat experience here at Kyanos and something we always look forward to creating for you and, of course, diving into. Jesse Kempner, Head Chef at Mindful Chef, fills us to the brim with delicious dishes. Colourful breakfast buffets are the perfect post-yoga refuel, mediterranean lunch spreads with nutrient dense salads and our sit down three course dinners have a little something in there for everyone with all the flavours of Greece plus our own little twists. Around our usual meals, expect a bountiful BBQ one night, daily juices & snacks, a seafood pasta party the next, and a little boat trip picnic floating in the Ionian one lunch time.
Greek cuisine is not only known for its delicious simplicity but it’s also packed full with islanders’ secrets for longevity. We want you to leave feeling nourished inside out with new inspirations for your home cooking.
We cater to all dietaries and preferences, so just let us know nearer the time and we’ll make sure there’s always something to suit you.
“It surpassed all expectations. I loved every second. I felt I was always in a safe space to try new things within the dynamic yoga practices, surrounded by support and calm. The yin sessions were a sublime end to each day - an hour to stop, reflect, digest the day and our surroundings and I am so grateful to you for that as it can be hard to find the time and space in the everyday to do this. I was able to stop and breathe again.”
